A major problem for blogs and forums is fake or spam subscriber registrations.

We explained how to mass delete such spam and now we will give you a plugin that can stop 99% of this type of spam that pollutes a sites WP database files with thousands of fake accounts.

The plugin is REGISTRATON HONEYPOT. The programmer is Justin Tadlock.

The way it works is simple, it creates a hidden or blind entry field that not scripts can see but humans can’t.

So the spam bots out of Russia fill in the hidden field or take the bait i.e. Honey Pot.

This plugin has no custom setup, it installs and works immediately.

This problem and brute force login hacks are the two biggest issues facing WP blog owners, besides obtaining traffic and followers.
